How this works
-
Runners start en masse, and complete the first lap and then continue on the main loop for all remaining laps. Runners can continue completing laps without pausing and can stop and rest at any point they choose for as long as they choose. They are still subject to elimination.
-
Starting with Lap 2, the last runner to complete each lap and who is not carrying immunity is eliminated. When only one runner remains, the race ends.
When a runner is lap-eliminated, there is a 15 minute time limit for all runners to complete the following lap. Any runner who misses the cutoff is eliminated upon completion of that lap but can be redeemed. -
Any runner still active in the race may complete an available challenge to bring an eliminated teammate back into the race or add immunity to another runner.
Redeemed runners are immediately returned to eligibility and get 20 minutes of immunity from elimination.
-
A Challenge can only be completed by a still-racing runner. They must be done with race official verification at the finish line area.
Challenges have an initial quantity, and may be used additional times with the +quantity added each time.
Challenges are as follows:
Jumping Jacks (40, +20)
Squat Thrusts (10, +10)
Funky Chicken Flaps (10, +10)
-
A runner with immunity will not be eliminated. They must have immunity at the moment they cross the checkpoint line.
Immunity passes the elimination to the next runner in line based on order of lap completion time. Thus if the last 3 runners cross the line with immunity, than the 4th to last runner is eliminated.
If a runner is determined to have been eliminated after continuing on to their next lap, they will be removed when they return to the check-in area and that lap will be counted.
-
This is a team scored event with the lowest score winning. Each runner will receive points equal to their place in the race (like cross country).
Runner placing is determined (in order) by the following:Laps completed
Race clock time for finishing their last lap.
NOTE: The race clock never stops, so a reedeemed runner’s time includes all the time they were not running.
