Volunteers
Relay Races require a large amount of workers manning exchanges and other locations. Each team contributes either a volunteer or money to help make that happen.
One (1) volunteer or $150.
After Aug 12th, (1) volunteer or $300
Teams make their volunteer selection at registration. A team may change from supplying people to Hiring a volunteer, but not from Hiring to supply people. Volunteer Funds are not refundable. Extra Volunteers are always welcome, however pleas no children under 12.
Duties
Most volunteers are stationed at one of our 11 exchange locations. Their primary duties are to mark off teams as they pass through, direct parking as needed, and be our first line of presence. We arm them with safety vests to stand out, and orange flags to bestow GREAT POWER. Some locations are at road crossings where the volunteer mans the crosswalk button, aiming for the most precise of button-pushing.
All volunteers are greatly appreciated and welcome to join us at the Finish Line to celebrate with teams!
